This site will contain all sorts of strange and odd old fart stuff. Hopefully it will inform and entertain.
I will say at this point in the site development, I have no clue as to how to set this up. So yet another silly learning curve. Such fun.

I will be adding pages about projects. One of the projects will interest gun history fans, that being a belt fed flintlock fired version of the Puckle gun. The major change there is the flintlock striker design, which is fully self contained in each round.

There will be sections relating to YouTube videos and then some stuff related to my tendency to be slightly evil, but in a kind and gentle form.
Possible items will contain stuff on electronics, programming, machining, arms and so on.
Projects and such, ah the things that go bump in the night.
Projects: Electronic, Mechanical, Software and of course boomstick related.
The current projects that will be added to this space are:
- Converting of the mini lathe that I just bought into a real lathe. It's not bad straight out of the box, but can be so much better. I think of this as a kit, it's one of the Chinese ones. So many little things that can be so much better.
- An ongoing saga of trying to put an OXA Aloris style tool post on that Chinese 7x14 lathe. Something that should be simple but was not. There are 4 YouTube videos in the series so far.
- My ongoing battle to keep parts attached to my Lincoln Navigator. The current problem is that I broke off the right running board by going over a bump. The board was down because these boards get sticky due to poor hinge design, causing the motor to not have the power to drive them up and down. There is a fun story there about having left the broken off board sitting in a parking lot for 3 weeks and then finding it in the lot. That was nice, the board costs $600 to replace.
- Gun project #1. A bullpup design pistol lightly based off the Calico guns. The folks at Calico are nice, but they are missing a clear major design improvement. Mine will involve that improvement.
- Gun project #2. The problems with home made 12 gauge shotguns with the parts coming from Home Depot or others. The page will show the process of building the basic gun and then discuss the issues that the normal breach block cause. Fixes will be presented.
- Gun project #3. The whole 2nd amendment discussion about period weapons has triggered on of my inner demons. Those folks that don't like guns seem to understand that repeating weapons were in existence for more than 50 years prior. So then, just for fun, I am designing a belt fed flintlock fired repeating heavy rifle that for now will be crank fired, much as a Gatling Gun.
These are just some of the many projects that will be presented. I will be posting the videos here and on my YouTube channel: OldFartHacks
